As your belly grows, so does your bond with your new baby. This season of anticipation is woven with wonder for who this little one will be, and I want to make sure that you don't overlook taking the time to capture the true miracle of your pregnancy in a maternity photoshoot.
Soon your family will change - whether you're preparing to take on the name "mama" for the first time, or welcoming your fifth baby, these moments deserve to be preserved. The way you casually hold your bump, the feeling of anticipation, the beginning of this beautiful calling of motherhood. These precious moments on the motherhood journey pass so quickly, you won't believe it.
It's truly amazing how much you can love someone who you haven't even met yet.
Looking to capture these special moments with maternity photography?
Maternity sessions can be photographed at my Minneapolis studio, or they can photographed outdoors. They are typically scheduled between 32-36 weeks , when your bump will be showing but you’re still comfortable. Both parents as well as any older siblings are welcome to be part of your session. It's a special time to document this fleeting moment of your pregnancy journey.
Maternity clients have the option of using anything from my client wardrobe, which includes a variety of maternity friendly dresses, robes, caftans and more.
You also have the option of adding on newborn photos with a newborn session with my Baby Plan Collective. Having three sessions to document that first year of life with growing family photos (most often people chose maternity photo sessions, newborn photography, and one year family pictures.

Your job? Just to be there, soaking it all in. Smell the top of your new baby’s head. Trace her perfect little button nose. Feel how he fits just right on your chest.
My job? Freeze time and hold these moments for you.
TRUTH- I DIDN’T HAVE A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH MY FIRST DAUGHTER’S NEWBORN PHOTOS.
The photographer was frustrated that she wouldn’t sleep, or that she wanted to be held.
Which I know now, as a mom of three, is the most normal and natural way for a baby to be! But as a nervous first-time parent? I felt like there was something wrong.
That experience is the OPPOSITE of what I want for my clients.
I shoot newborns in an organic, natural, lifestyle way, which means I don’t put them in poses.
When I had all three of my babies it never felt right to me when my babies weren’t in my arms. I felt so attached I had to sit on my hands when other people wanted to hold them. So when I take newborn photos the majority of photos end up having babe snuggled up, right on mom and dad, just where they want to be. My sessions include lots of family shots and candid moments- and I'll guide you the entire step of the way

I don't have any expectations of what your baby "should" do. Babies are unpredictable. Postpartum is unpredictable. I am not afraid of messy houses, jealous toddlers, hormonal teary eyes… or hormonal leaky boobs. I promise you, you will not faze me.

I have a lot of resources to help you make your decisions, client wardrobe options for moms and kiddos to borrow, and can always suggest links for direct purchase. Taking things off your plate is always my goal.

“With all the things my wife had to do while she was pregnant and how tiring it is at the end, I took on finding a newborn photographer.
